CeramicSpeed OSPW RS Alpha Team Shimano 105 7150 Info

The CeramicSpeed OSPW RS Alpha Team Shimano 105 7150 brings CeramicSpeed's Alpha pulley wheel system to Shimano's 105 Di2 groupset, built around the same oversized 13-tooth upper and 19-tooth lower pulley layout CeramicSpeed uses across its RS platform. Instead of a spoked pulley wheel, the Alpha design uses a solid aluminum disc, which keeps debris, cable ends, and stray chain links from getting caught between spokes while adding stiffness the drivetrain can lean on. The tooth profile itself is a narrow-wide composite pattern, chosen to cut noise and wear compared to a standard alloy tooth. The cage holding it all together is injection molded from carbon fiber reinforced polyamide, built to handle the load a 105 Di2 drivetrain puts through it without adding real weight.

Inside, hand-built ceramic bearings do the actual friction reduction, and CeramicSpeed protects them with its ADR system — a dust cover seated in a groove in the pulley wheel, paired with a bladed groove structure that flings debris off the bearing as it spins rather than letting it accumulate over a wet ride. CeramicSpeed rates these bearings at up to 400 percent smoother-rolling than the standard steel bearings most pulley systems ship with stock. Spring tension on the cage is adjustable, so it can be tuned for chain retention on rough roads rather than running one fixed setting regardless of terrain.

The Team Logo trim swaps in an oversized CeramicSpeed logo across the pulley discs — the same look CeramicSpeed's sponsored racing teams run — available in Black or Silver, and it carries CeramicSpeed's lifetime warranty on ALPHA systems. Compared to CeramicSpeed's titanium anniversary editions, this is the more accessible way into the Alpha platform: the same bearing technology and debris protection, aluminum pulleys instead of 3D-printed titanium, at a price built for someone upgrading a 105 Di2 build rather than chasing a limited-edition piece.

The RA Perspective

We point riders toward this Alpha Team version when they want CeramicSpeed's actual bearing technology on a 105 Di2 build without paying for the titanium anniversary pieces we also carry. The solid Alpha disc is the detail that matters most in daily use — spoked pulley wheels pick up debris and the occasional dropped chain link, and the solid design just doesn't have anywhere for that to catch.

The ADR debris protection genuinely earns its keep on wet rides. We've had customers bring these back in after a full season of riding through New York winters and the bearings still spin clean, which isn't always true of unprotected pulley bearings after that kind of exposure.

The tradeoff, if there is one, is that this is still a $700 pulley wheel system for a 105-level groupset — it's a real upgrade in bearing quality, not a functional necessity. Riders chasing outright watts savings on a budget might get more value putting that money into wheels or tires first, but for someone who's already dialed in the rest of the bike and wants the smoothest-running drivetrain they can build, this is a legitimate place to spend it.

We'd recommend the Team Logo look specifically to riders who like the aesthetic — it's the same internals as the standard Alpha version, just with the bigger branding.
