CeramicSpeed OSPW RS 5-Spoke V3 SRAM Red AXS D1/E1 and Force AXS D1 Info

The CeramicSpeed OSPW RS 5-Spoke V3 SRAM Red AXS D1/E1 and Force AXS D1 is CeramicSpeed's lighter-weight take on its oversized pulley wheel system for SRAM's Red and Force AXS groups. Where the Alpha Disc versions use a solid pulley disc, this system uses an open 5-spoke aluminum design that trims weight while still running CeramicSpeed's low-friction bearing technology underneath. It's available in four colorways — black, red, gold, and blue — so riders can match the system to their bike rather than being limited to a single finish.

The system runs 15-tooth and 19-tooth oversized pulleys, and the 5-spoke aluminum construction brings the complete system down to 85 grams net, noticeably lighter than CeramicSpeed's solid Alpha Disc pulleys. Each pulley spins on hand-built CeramicSpeed bearings, protected by the brand's Active Debris Remover (ADR) technology — a dust cover and bladed groove structure that actively pushes dirt and grit away from the bearing rather than relying on a static seal. That's the same bearing protection used across CeramicSpeed's higher-priced Alpha pulleys, just paired here with a lighter, more open pulley design.

This is the V3 revision of the platform, and the update centers on the cage: CeramicSpeed reworked the cage interface for a faster, more consistent installation onto Red and Force AXS derailleurs. The system is compatible with SRAM's UFO Ultra Endurance and UFO Speed 12-speed flattop chains, and CeramicSpeed backs the complete OSPW RS system with a lifetime warranty.

This is the pick for a SRAM Red or Force AXS rider who wants CeramicSpeed's low-friction bearing gains and a lighter overall system without paying for the solid Alpha Disc pulleys — and who likes having a colorway to choose from beyond black.

The RA Perspective

This is the version we point people toward when they want the CeramicSpeed low-friction benefit without the added weight of the Alpha Disc pulleys. The 5-spoke design is genuinely lighter on the scale, and for a rider counting grams on a race bike, that difference is easy to justify against the Alpha version's extra cost.

The open spoke pattern does mean these pulleys are a little more exposed to road grime than the solid Alpha discs, but the same ADR bearing protection is doing the work underneath, so we haven't seen a meaningful difference in how long the bearings stay smooth between the two systems in normal road riding.

The V3 cage update is a real improvement if you've installed an earlier version of this system before — it seats more predictably on the derailleur and takes less fiddling to get right.

The colorway options are a nice bonus here that the Alpha Disc versions don't offer. For a rider building a red or blue accent scheme onto their SRAM AXS bike, that's a small detail that actually shows up when you look at the bike.
