The PRO Tharsis XC Stem -17 Degree is a cross-country stem machined from 7075 aluminum and secured with titanium bolts — a combination that keeps weight low without compromising clamping strength. The -17 degree angle suits riders who want a more aggressive, lower front end on their XC or trail setup.
What separates the Tharsis from a standard stem is its integrated external headset adjuster — a dial built into the underside of the stem that replaces the need for a star-fangled nut or expander plug inside your steerer tube. You clamp the stem, use the dial to remove headset play, and you're done. That open steerer also creates a useful cavity: on steerer tubes 152mm or deeper, a Shimano Di2 battery can be routed and housed internally, keeping your cockpit clean and the battery accessible without disturbing your saddle height. Available in 70mm, 80mm, and 90mm lengths to suit a range of rider positions.
