The tread profile is deliberately low-profile, so rolling resistance stays manageable on firm ground, while the knob spacing does the real work in looser conditions — creating enough bite to hook up and enough clearance between lugs to shed dirt as the tire rotates. The PureGrip compound Continental uses here is built for longevity without giving up meaningful grip or rolling efficiency. Beneath the tread sits a 180 TPI casing — dropping to 120 TPI on the sidewalls — with a breaker belt between the casing and tread to resist punctures from sharp debris.
