The Campagnolo Record X 13 WRL Rear Derailleur Direct Mount UDH w/o Battery is the gravel-specific version of Campagnolo's 13-speed wireless electronic derailleur, built on the same architecture as the Super Record 2x13 road derailleur but reworked for rough terrain. The extended cage handles cassettes up to 48 teeth for steep climbing gears, and a Nano Clutch — a miniaturized version of the clutch mechanism used to keep chains tensioned on rough ground — holds the chain steady over chatter and hard hits without letting it bounce off the front chainring. Two differentiated pulleys do the rest of the work: a 12-tooth eccentric upper pulley keeps consistent chain distance across a wide cassette range, while an oversized 16-tooth lower pulley improves chain engagement and keeps shifting quiet.

Mounting is universal, working with both UDH and traditional derailleur hangers, and the derailleur sits beneath the cassette rather than out to the side — a position Campagnolo says improves aerodynamics and keeps the pulleys aligned with the gears for more precise shifting. An integrated position sensor automatically keeps the derailleur tracking the selected gear, and a manual UnLock System lets you reposition the mechanism by hand if the electronics ever act up mid-ride. The front section of the cage is carbon with a direct-from-mold finish, paired with anodized aluminum components. This version ships without the removable battery — sold separately and shared across Campagnolo's entire 13-speed platform — and weighs 342 grams on its own.
