The S-900 is more than just a pretty part. It plugs into the end of your base bar. You run the cable through the expander plug. The carbon-fiber lever blade is small, ergonomic, and comfortable. There’s even a return spring to help open the brake calipers quickly.
While SRAM did design the lever to work best with their own brakes in the Red, Force, Rival, and Apex lines, there’s no reason this lever won’t work with brakes from other manufacturers.
