Silca Cuscino 3.75 Bar Tape Info

The Silca Cuscino 3.75 Bar Tape is built around SILCA's most advanced closed-cell foam — 3.75mm of material engineered to deliver cushioning closer to a traditional 5mm tape while keeping a cleaner, lower-profile wrap on the bar. A tacky top layer gives your hands consistent grip in wet or dry conditions, and the foam's vibration-damping properties make it a natural fit for long road rides or rougher surfaces where hand fatigue compounds over time.

Installation hardware is included: aluminum end plugs and a butterfly clamp cover. Available in six colorways to suit any build.

I wanted to add as much cushion as possible to an otherwise somewhat stiff road bike, so I chose the max thickness Silca bar tape. I think, however, that this super-thick tape might be too thick from the point of view of gripping the handlebars comfortably, so perhaps I should have gone with the next thickest tape instead. I will ride the bike for a while with the 3.75 tape before deciding what to do.
