5DEV

5DEV starts with aerospace manufacturing and ends up at the trail. A division of 5th Axis — a San Diego CNC house that machines components for the aerospace and medical industries — 5DEV applies the same precision tooling and in-house manufacturing discipline to bicycle cranks, chainrings, and drivetrain components. The result is titanium cranks machined to tolerances that most bike brands don't approach, and a range of e-bike crank conversions that bring the same material quality to Shimano EP8, Bosch, Brose, and Specialized Turbo Levo motor platforms.

The RA Cycles 5DEV collection covers the full titanium lineup — MTB and RGXC cranks, eCranks for major motor systems, titanium chainrings in T-Type and multiple bolt patterns, ceramic bottom brackets, titanium pulley wheels, and the smaller titanium hardware that finishes a build the right way.

About 5DEV

5DEV is a division of 5th Axis, a San Diego-based contract manufacturer that produces precision components for the aerospace and medical industries. The co-founders brought that CNC expertise to cycling — designing and building all 5DEV products in-house from space-grade billet aluminum and titanium, using patented tooling systems developed for their industrial work. The factory-to-rider pipeline means there are no outsourced parts and no tolerance compromises: every crank arm, chainring, and bottom bracket goes through the same CNC process that aerospace components do. RA Cycles stocks the core 5DEV titanium lineup — the flagship Titanium MTB Cranks and RGXC Cranks for standard builds, along with eCrank options compatible with Shimano EP8, Specialized Brose, Bosch/TQ/Avinox, and the Gen 4 Levo motor platforms. The collection also includes 8-bolt and 3-bolt T-Type titanium chainrings, titanium ceramic bottom brackets, titanium pulley wheels for SRAM AXS and Shimano XTR/XT, and alloy handlebars.
