Colnago G3-X GRX 810 2X Disc Bike Info

The Colnago G3-X combines speed on all terrain with a reasonable price tag for fun and performance wherever you go. This bike focuses more on a racing feel than the backpacking route some other gravel bikes take. The G3-X takes a ton of hints from Colnago’s highly-touted road bikes and adjusts them to promote performance on less forgiving terrain. With this kind of focus on speed, Colnago has declared it the world’s fastest gravel bike. Get ready for pure speed on and off the road.

The frame of the G3-X started with Colnago’s road success and was altered to suit gravel racing. The frame is optimized around a 40mm tire for optimal comfort on tough terrain. The stiffness is claimed to be the same as their flagship V3Rs road race bike but with an altered carbon construction. Targeted areas on this bike utilize thickened tube walls to reduce the risk of damage to the frame. Rubber guards are also featured on various parts of the frame to avoid carbon damage. Despite all of this extra attention to durability, the frame comes in at just 900 grams.

The geometry of the frame was also created with Colnago road bikes in mind and adjusted appropriately. The G3-X contains an adjusted reach that is more suitable to maintaining control on all-road terrain. The bottom bracket has been adjusted to accommodate smoother shifting. The seatpost balances speed with comfort, featuring an aero profile along with excellent vertical compliance. This version of the G3-X is equipped with a Shimano GRX 810 groupset for gravel-specific 12-speed shifting at a reasonable price. Its 2x setup is perfect for riders who want a wide gear range. The Colnago G3-X takes the race-loving history of Colnago and branches out to a broad range of exploration.
