Wahoo Fitness’ suite of bike gear extends to sensors as well. This is a combination pack of both their RPM Speed Sensor and RPM Cadence sensor.

As with all their sensors, these broadcast both ANT+ and Bluetooth 4.0 signals. This allows them to pair with just about all wireless watches, computers, and phones on the market. The sensors are sending both signals all the time, so you can pair them with multiple devices as well.

Both sensors have accelerometers built in. This means they need no magnet in order to turn on; movement alone will do it. And they both come with mounts to easily strap them on to a hub for the speed sensor, or the crank or shoe for the cadence sensor. The cadence sensor can also be mounted to the crank via double-stick tape or zip ties. As with other Wahoo sensors, there are two LED lights built in, a blue one to tell you that it is paired with a device and a red one to tell you it has detected movement. The sensors are a super-light 16.5 grams and are powered by user-replaceable CR 2032 coin cell batteries. The signal can broadcast up to a distance of ten feet.

The sensors can be read by several Bluetooth-equipped devices. They include the iPhone 4S and newer, iPad third-generation and newer, as well as iPad mini, and iPad air, and the fifth generation iPod Touch. Android-equipped phones first must have the Bluetooth 4.0 radio antenna, then run version 4.3 or newer and allows for third-party app access to that Bluetooth antenna.
