The top holds the bottoms in place, and the shorts pull the jersey down so it stays aero. The full zipper ends in a garage at the neck to limit chafing, and the low, collarless neck lies flat whether you are running or riding. The sleeves are contoured at the ends so they lie flat, so no gripper material is needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eFabrics\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe front panels, shoulders and sleeves are a smooth, stretchy microfiber rated UPF 30+. The back is a three-dimensional woven textile, UPF 20+, that Giordana designed to move sweat out and to keep full pockets from sagging, and it is treated with Microfresh to reduce sweat odor. Two side-access pockets sit underneath the back panel to keep them aero. Lycra piping finishes the neck, front waist hem and pockets.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eBottoms and chamois\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe legs use DWR-treated Top Gear Lycra Power, a low-compression, high-stretch, abrasion-resistant fabric rated UPF 50+. Giordana says the DWR finish limits waterlogging from sweat or a swim and improves chlorine resistance. Leg hems are 5cm wide. A contoured front panel replaces the drawstring, since the sewn-on top works like bibs. The tri-specific chamois has a top layer of aloe vera-infused fabric and is joined to the shorts with Tri-Stitch, a three-step zigzag seam.
