Chris King decided to manufacture an entire wheel to go with their industry leading hubs, featuring a new carbon construction process. The rim is made of an alternative carbon fiber, utilizing recycled material for minimal environmental impact. FusionFiber is the material in question. It is a thermoplastic alternative to traditional carbon. This material features excellent compliance, stability through hard corners, and a lightweight profile. The Chris King MTN30 Wheelset offers a unique build for speed and accurate control on the trail.
These wheels include Chris King Boost 28-hole Centerlock hubs. They provide 72 points of simultaneous engagement, making them extremely efficient in transferring power. One-piece steel axles add to the stiffness of the hubs and accuracy of the steering. Heat treated steel bearings are all exactly the same size and shape, creating smooth and fast rotation. This version has a 29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel for a unique balance. They also include Superboost spacing. The wheelset comes with a tape and valve set to make tire installation easier than ever. The Chris King MTN30 Wheelset is the perfect choice for the rider who wants speed and accuracy on the trail with a proven hub.
